Too good to pass up

I was perusing the January edition of Library Journal, and in the back, in the reviews for Reference books, I found Encyclopedia of White Collar & Corporate Crime. 2 volumes. $295.00!!!! Makes ya wonder if there is a section in their encyclopedia about Publisher Pricing Schemes.

Sage Publications

I work with law books and not only are they expensive but they aren't a one shot deal. You have to buy the annual updates and they charge and arm and a leg. Although this appears to be more of a criminal justice rather than a law book, I really don't think it is that outrageously expensive. It is two volumes.

The Encyclopedia of Associations is something like $650 and I believe the thing is an annual.

As a seller of ex-library books, I have to add that most of those volumes depreciate faster than computers and trailer homes.
