While my personal and political beliefs are probably a lot more unorthodox than your average librarian, I'm not sure it reflects in my work as a librarian. I know I'm not an anarchist librarian, or even a radical librarian. I like alt-country. No tattoos or body modifications. I do wear jeans to the ref desk on occassion. I gotta think about this alt thing.

Well, we would be glad to have you as a member. Your blog is well written and sharp. I suppose the word "alt" is a little puzzle-some. To be honest I can't explain what an Alt.Librarian is, but I know one when I see one.

Oooh....I feel about 25% cooler now. Thanks! Since I'm under the influence of codeine-laced cough syrup today, perhaps "alt" can mean "altered" since my head feels kinda funny.

Altered, huh? Shall I lend you my Zepp albums and a blacklight "Icarus" poster?

How 'bout some Henrdix? Or Jefferson Airplane? Not too much of a Zep girl. I just ordered two King Crimson cds that have been long missing from my collection--but they're later KC when they were working with Adrian Belew. Discipline and Beat. That's one of the things I miss about my ex-husband. He was about 7 years older than me and had an awesome music collection. Most of it was on LP, though, and I doubt if he's replaced most of it. Good stuff!
