So, George Washington isn’t the best face to go with this story, but An Anonymous Patron sent along News From Nigeria where THE Alliance for Democracy, AD, has condemned the fund raising activities of the Obasanjo Presidential Library (OPL), and urged President Obasanjo to refund the monies donated.
In a statement by Prince Dayo Adeyeye, National Publicity Secretary of the AD, the party urged President Obasanjo to return the funds collected so far, or in the alternative forward them to the National Universities Commission, NUC, for onward distribution among the terribly under-funded Nigerian universities and research institutions.
