A new library web group for library webmasters has been created LISweb.
LISweb is specifically aimed toward librarians and library persons involved in the World-Wide Web, in a non-official capacity. The creators see the new list as an unofficial alternative to the more established Web4lib
Said the list’s creators,“We want to cover some of the same issues as the other library web lists, but we see LISweb as a resource for homebrew library sites, bloggers, podcasters and others. We want people to share advice, tips, and ideas for running their own websites outside of the official sites.
There are a lot of library sites out there. The people in the LIS community are passionate about creating and sharing ideas, and hopefully this will create a welcoming community that will invite others to share. And don’t worry, Blog People are most welcome!”
