New U.S. archivist has notable public library link

Anonymous Patron writes “The newly appointed (and controversial) U.S. archivist (http://www.lisnews.com/article.pl?sid=05/04/05/18 31213) has one notable link with the public library world. Weinstein was the first (non-voting) Chairman of the judges for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award (http://www.impacdublinaward.ie). The IMPAC is run by Dublin City Libraries, Ireland, and the nominations are made by public libraries throughout the world. Weinstein was a well-regarded Chairman and served until 2003.”
