New Student Book Review Journal at Drew University

The Reading Light” might be the first purely web-based book review journal produced by undergraduates anywhere in the world. As such, The Reading Light offers a model for student literary discourse in the twenty-first century. It is virtually cost-free, it allows for reader feedback, and no trees were harmed in the making of this journal. It proves that the Internet Generation still reads and discusses books. For anyone who teaches the history of books, the possibilities of this new periodical genre are tremendous.

As a matter of principle, The Reading Light is written and edited entirely by undergraduates, but it does welcome contributions from students at other colleges.
