Sarah Johnson writes “For those of you who had subscribed to the RSS feed for Rachel Singer Gordon’s and my professional development blog, “Beyond the Job,” the feed has changed due to circumstances beyond our control. (ie, Feedster stopped working!) We’re posting this a couple of places, because you’ll never see the announcement on the blog, given that the old feed doesn’t work
New feed:

The blog itself:

Sorry for the inconvenience! Please unsubscribe from the old feed and add the new.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about and you’re interested in professional development opportunities (calls for papers, conference announcements, job hunting tips), check out the blog itself: http://librarycareers.blogspot.com . Enjoy!

That Feedster Created RSS Feed
Hi there,
A) As the author of that feature, I have to apologize. We significantly underestimated the complexity of generating reliable RSS from raw Blogger blogs.
B) Once Blogger officially started offering feeds, we assumed that most people had changed on their own so we didn’t treat that code as a first priority. That was a mistake.
C) This did spur us to fix it in a much better way. We’re now using your atom feed to generate RSS dynamically so you can support aggregators that work both ways. And since its tied to feedster’s core code, its much more reliable.
d) that said, you might well not trust us anymore and I get that. My apologies.
Scott

Re:That Feedster Created RSS Feed
Thanks, Scott — it’s a great service! The first URL you list seems to work fine, and I’ll add the option to the blog in addition to the atom feed.
