New Libraries in Pinellas County Florida resemble

“Public libraries are community living rooms,” said Barbara Murphey, director of the Largo library, whose collection is soon to be housed in a new $20.9-million building. “It’s like anything. Businesses have to reinvent themselves in this changing time. So do libraries.”

Four new, high-tech libraries are being planned across Pinellas County. Either under construction or in the planning stages, the finished products will push book borrowing far into the new century.
