New Kansas City Central Library

kctipton writes “An entry at BlogKC lets everyone know that

The library has been busy on a wonderful restoration of the historic First National Bank building to replace the old Main Library that was located in the crappy Board of Education Building. Not only will the new facility be a landmark for Downtown and the entire city, it has already contributed to the explosion of Downtown redevelopment by spurring several loft projects in the surrounding Library District.

The library has a section of its website set up to give details of the move from the old to new location. It includes a virtual tour! Very cool stuff. Very high tech for a library IMHO.”
