New Jersey School Library Aides Jobs Axed

Eight library assistant jobs will not be saved from the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District budget ax. Cost cutting was of course the factor but a K-6 security system was spared in favor of losing the eight positions.

Library staff, parents and residents have protested the cuts, saying library assistants help every student in the district.
Municipal officials in Bridgewater and Raritan Borough had urged the Board of Education to find other areas to cut but their requests were not honored. More from Courier News.
