New Jersey Libraries must wait to learn their fate

In June, the trustees were divided over the issue of hiring Library Systems Services Inc., an outsourcing company based in Maryland, to take over Passaic’s public library system.

At a June 24 meeting, the majority eventually ruled that no decision should be made until the state library performed an in-depth study on whether the system could be saved without resorting to private means.
