This week was a light one for our guest blogger Cindi Wolff and our regular Free Government Information volunteers, but we still managed to post the following stories:
Cindi’s postings:
Volunteer postings:
- FDSys Blog – RIP? – Daniel
- All Title 44 musings in one place – Daniel
- Pt. 5: Nonlawyer’s journey through Title 44: Distribution to depositories – Daniel
As always we hope that you will stop by and join our conversation.
If you haven’t already, please vote in our poll on archiving gov’t e-docs at http://freegovinfo.info/node/476. We’ve got 87 votes and nine comments, and we’d like to see all 229 depository libraries who gave a positive response to question 65 to weigh in.
No FDSys related activity has been observed either at the main FDSys site during the past week.
If you use Bloglines (http://www.bloglines.com/) or some other RSS reader, consider subscribing to the FGI Feed at

Yea
Yea, you see when you post something on the Internet and it is accessible to millions of people it is a little silly to argue that someone needs a warrant to access it. If you want your privacy don’t post things to the entire world.
Yeah
I believe the term is “reasonable expectation of privacy.” If you post something on a public web site, be prepared to have everyone read it. I am often very surprised at what people write on this web site about such things as their work.
Re:Yeah
Ever read that publicly posted “important stuff” at the bottom of the post comments page?
“Read other people’s messages before posting your own to avoid simply duplicating what has already been said.”
Feels like there’s an echo in here. Sheesh.
Re:Yeah
I believe I did add something by expressing my surprise at what people post regarding their inner thoughts about their jobs and co-workers.
Jeez, you must lead a pretty sorry existence if a post of mine upsets you so much that you actually have to post a comment.

Did I say I was upset? Didn’t think I did. And I can assure you, I wasn’t. I was just pointing out a community standard that was violated. Sorry if that upset YOU so much you had to post about it.
As for living a sorry existence? No, not really; I think I have a relatively rewarding and mostly good life. I can’t speak to your situation, of course.
