NC libraries look for voter support

Mock Turtle writes “Residents of Wake County, NC, will vote in October on a $35 million package of bond referendums in support of public library expansion. Liz Bartlett, manager of the Cary Library branch, reports burgeoning patron activity at her location, attributing the surge in numbers not only to population growth, but also to the state of the economy.     go wake county bond referendum!!!
    Hey, that’s my county! =) I’m a library assistant at one of Wake County’s libraries.

    We really do need the new branches. If anyone knows any residents of the county, tell them to vote! We’re handing out brochures at the current branches.

    Of course, that’s not all we need. We still don’t have anything but books… not a single audio or video item in any county libraries. Pretty pathetic. Ah well. Libraries always have been and probably always will be underfunded.
