More Texas Residents See Value In “Bathe And Behave Rules”

It looks like Houston’s new anti-homeless “bathe and behave rules” are catching on. The Courier Reports that Jerry Martin, a Conroe booklover, is now pushing another library down in Texas to follow Houston’s lead. He says The Montgomery Central Library should be held to a higher standard of behavior and hygiene.
Martin wants Montgomery County commissioners to adopt similar “bathe and behave rules.”
Although hygiene problems Martin has witnessed at the library were limited to homeless people, he said keeping a higher standard of personal cleanliness would benefit all library patrons and hopefully prevent people from being subjected to behavior he has seen.
“One guy took his shoes off and was picking the cheese from between his toes,” Martin said. “Another man digs in the garbage and eats leftover things he finds.”
No word if these new rules will apply to librarians as well.
