More mercury found at library

More bizarre news, This Time the Kennedy Library, in Muncie Indiana, found more mercury.

Less than 48 hours after they cleaned mercury out , federal emergency responders were called back Monday after a new batch of the hazardous chemical was found.

Local authorities suspect that the mercury found Monday was placed in the library sometime after experts from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency left Muncie.

“It’s hard for me to imagine that with all of their equipment, they missed this,” Delaware County Emergency Management Director Bill Gosnell said. “If someone was purposely doing this, then we want to catch them and stop them.”

The library – at 1501 W. McGalliard Road – has been closed since Thursday, when a staff member found a small amount of mercury inside the branch’s computer lab.
