Sisters Ann and Jill Hanson will graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with matching MSLIS degrees, on Mother\’s Day, with librarian mom, Katie, looking on. Demonstrating that library schools steer clear of practical matters, the sisters said that part of their decision to get their library degrees came from \”economic realities.\” More from the Racine Journal Times which, curiously, refers to the 23- and 28-year olds sisters as \”girls.\”
This librarian mom/LISnews contributor will be spending her Mother\’s Day afternoon at the reference desk, but received lovely gifts of a refrigerator magnet made from popsicle sticks, a water balloon (ready for throwing), and a breakfast of cheese sandwiches and coffee.
