Minneapolis libraries to close for 9 days

Bad News From Minneapolis where Minneapolis public libraries will be closed for nine days near the end of summer vacation under a budget cut approved last fall.

The Central Library, 14 neighborhood libraries and the system’s bookmobile will go dormant from Aug. 24 through Labor Day. Users of the library’s Web site will be able to renew books and other items, search the online catalog and use databases, although they won’t be able to place orders for items during the closure.
