A story out of Milwaukee about two librarians helping reunite long-lost siblings. In 1971, a soon-to-be-divorced mother gave her newborn baby boy up for adoption but told her 11-year-old daughter that the baby had died. Thirty years later, the boy was able to obtain his mother’s year of death and two possible last names. With this information, two Milwaukee librarians searched a Wisconsin death index, which led to a newspaper obituary that listed the name of the daughter. [Milwaukee Journal Sentinel]
