Anonymous Patron writes “Sounds Like Trouble up in Bay City,MI. Bay County Library System Director Frederick J. Paffhausen was fired Monday. Library Board Chairwoman Ella Jane Martini told The Times she walked into Paffhausen’s office about 3 p.m. Monday and demanded the director clean out his desk, turn in his keys and leave the building.
The rest of the story doesn’t sound much better, lots of fighting and accusations. ”The board, as a whole, gave him no goals or corrective action he needed to take,” said Wetters, added that he worries the way Martini handled the firing could result in a wrongful discharge lawsuit.”
