Overseeing 30,000 pieces of fabric, trim, buckles, buttons and graphics, Ann Beebe Desimone helps Nike’s clothing designers, developers, merchandisers and color experts find the materials they need to assemble the next new line of athletic wear.
She and her two assistants spend four hours a day refiling fabric hangers. She also ensures that samples “swatched” from the library are replaced, ordering from Nike’s long vendor list.
