Librarians love to visit other libraries. You might think that on our vacations or days off, the last place we’d want to go is the library. But it’s quite the opposite. Whenever another librarian returns from vacation, we ask, “Did you check out the library?” Inevitably, there ensues a stream of pictures: “Look at their displays … look at the architecture … and I had to get a picture of their children’s room.”
This and more from Kurtis Kelly, Adult Service Supervisor at the Estes Park CO Library.

Estes Park is one beautiful library with very creative cozy spots sprinkled throughout. I toured the place just last week and snapped some pics. If you really like peaking inside of Colorado libraries check out the hundreds of library photos on the ColoradoLibrariesblog’s Flickr site.

I agree, librarians on their trips always have to see som library. If not, they don’t deserve to be called by the “L” word 🙂

It’s True
I always try to visit the local libraries wherever I am and try to pick up some sort of identifying merchandise for my collection.
