Literature goes unloved in Yemeni libraries

In many places in the world, libraries are viewed as a cozy haven where people young and old can nurture their love of literature. These libraries offer reading hours for children, special sections for young people, and a wealth of novels that offer all readers entry into other worlds, ideas, and minds they could otherwise never experience. Such is not the case in the few libraries that exist in Yemen, say librarians. Young people do not fly to these buildings, wings on their feet, eager to get their hands on the latest work of their favorite author.
