Literary treasures drip with the bile of ancient feuds

Bob Cox points out this amusing article from Scotsman.com. The National Library of Scotland currently is showing some samples of historic vitriol in its latest exhibit, including letters from a writer’s spat between Lord Byron and Sir Walter Scott. From the article:

“Martyn Wade, the National Librarian, said at the exhibition launch yesterday: “Nothing’s changed really, there’s still quite a bit of mud-slinging in the literary world.””
