LISNews Week In Review 5-19-2006

In the journals, Bibliofuture points to some New content at www.bibliofuture.org; Samantha gives us some more info on Vote Smart; Whoa Nellie starts a good sized discussion on Cuba and the ALA; Rochelle put her last Monday night on the reference desk; Shoe Annouces her book, Aurora Borealis, is up on lulu.com for printing on demand; and finally GregS* is looking for 100 people to create a network of Dagwood bloggers.

Scan This Book! got the most comments, and my 10 Reasons Why The Web Is Almost A Substitute For Libraries got the most hits. The Librarians Book Club is making a come back, and looking for readers. A few other interesting stories that caught my eye include Librarian helped Brown decipher code, Librarian Joins Michigan Senate District Race and Police make bust at library as defendant chatted with ‘teen’. Nothing new with the code or server, I’m hoping to have some time soon to fix a few HTML bugs and fix that darn submission form.
