The Edwardsville (IL) Public Library will be hosting an informational program discussing eBay later this month.
Reference Librarian Judy Thompson said library patron Suzanne Garrison will give instruction on how to buy and sell on eBay, discuss payment options and share sound online auction practices. Thompson said Garrison is an experienced eBay user.
“She does a lot of eBay business and does a lot of buying and selling on eBay,” Thompson said, “She can explain things very well and she is very enthusiastic about it.” More from the Edwardsville Intelligencer.

Things that appeal to people are ebay and the like, not boring OPACs and Dewey. Thanks to popularity of ebay and the internet as a whole, libraries are able to benefit from their usability. People certainly are not coming to libraries because of the sensational attraction of OPACs and Dewey.
