Library looter pleads guilty

When Colerain (OH)Township police arrested a woman accused of running a scheme in which she and her children signed up for library cards using phony names, checked out materials and then sold them for money, they found $2,000 worth of DVDs, CDs and books in her home.

As the investigation unfolded, police discovered Maria Daniels stole $16,684 worth of materials from the library between July 21 and Dec. 12.
