The Aiken-Bamberg-Barnwell-Edgefield Library System recently installed new self check-out stations in Bamberg. Now that, in itself, isn’t all that newsworthy. After all, hundreds of libraries across the nation use the 3M self-check stations.
What is newsworthy is that the library is holding a contest to promote the new tech and the winner could walk away with some new tech for themselves. Each time someone checks out using the new system, they’re automatically entered into a drawing to win a new Acer laptop and a box of goodies courtesy of 3M.
