Over On The Tennessean there’s a column on returning things on time (Something I can never seem to do). Nashville library patron Shawn Garbett also thinks people need to shush about the fines:
“I am a regular patron of the Nashville library system. I also sometimes have to pay the overdue charges. Each time, I gladly pay the charge and consider it a donation to the wonderful services that the library provides. These charges are far less than I would pay through other venues for the access to the same materials. We in Nashville are very privileged to have a world-class library.”
World class and free. So long as you follow the rules.
