Library accused of slight to Christianity

The pastor of a large Chandler, AZ, church says the city’s downtown library gave Christianity short shrift in a holiday books display last month, but the library says that isn’t the case.

The Rev. Roger Storms, senior pastor of Chandler Christian Church, said he isn’t angry with the library or its acting manager, Mary Johns. But he said that a display featuring Hanukkah and Kwanzaa readings had no Christian selections and that his complaint was answered by the removal of books of all traditions.
