The Belleville News-Democrat reports Anyone can sometimes have an overdue library book, but an overdue fishing rod is possible only in Granite City and four other metro-east communities.
The Six Mile Regional Library in Granite City signed up nine months ago to get free fishing rods and reels from the Illinois Department of National Resources.
