Libraries should better serve public

Rowland Nethaway, senior editor of the Waco (Texas) Tribune-Herald, has An Odd Little Rant online today.
His idealized library not only would have all its books and periodicals available for computerized searches and reservations at the library and over the Internet, it also would have enough computer terminals available to slash waiting times.
He says Libraries should be [wireless] Internet hot spots and have plenty of printers, copiers, scanners and a food court. A library should also have places in the library besides the food court where patrons could talk on their cell phones.”
