Anonymous Patron writes “Libraries become day care centers, from the Detroit News. Librarians and their patrons across Metro Detroit are complaining that their quiet zones are getting noisy, overtaken by rowdy adolescents who fight, play loud music and damage the property.
It’s happening, they say, because some parents are abdicating responsibility for watching their own children.”
News Organizations
Okay, perhaps it is a wee bit anal retentive of me, but look at the caption with this story. I could not get past the fact that a news organization did not bother to spell check it at all. It is as bad as the CNN “11 times the speed of light” report when the shuttle crashed while coming down for landing.
Re:News Organizations
C’mon, buddy, you wanna figtht about it?
Re:News Organizations
This deserves a higher mod than +3 Funny -)
Okay I will be quiet about spelling now.. being an online gamer and realizing most of the world spells rogue, as rouge, I should be over it.
Re:News Organizations
My 13 y.o. spends a great deal of time doing online RPG, and regularly rails about people who can’t spell or punctuate. I’ve had to tell her repeatedly that flaming is not appropriate. But, as a grammar and spelling wonk, I feel her pain.
