Librarians need heroes, too!

vonjobi writes “Very few Filipinos, if asked, would be able to give the name of a
librarian who is not a relative or friend. Many, on the other hand,
would be able to say that EDSA stands for Epifanio de los Santos
Avenue (where the People Power Revolution took place in 1986). And it
is, I suppose, rather ironic–but probably fitting–that these same
people would not know who Epifanio de los Santos is, or, much less,
know that he was a librarian.

Librarians need heroes, too! Check out my earnest effort to give him
his due: Epifanio de los Santos Day.”
