A brave and truthful librarian
Lying about true librarian working conditions is quite common, especially as libraries struggle to find qualified staff. Staff coming out of library schools now are not willing to accept the same-old-same-old from the powers that be. This *always* happens, just the fact that the man is speaking out about it , is what is new and different.
With a background in something other than public librarianship, I am sure he will not have a problem securing another job, hopefully not in a public library! Librarianship needs more people like this.
