Weekly Dig Has An Interview with Diann Smothers, a 36-year-old librarian at Northeastern University. When she’s not librarian-ing, she’s competing in strongman sports, in which athletes race to perform wacky, horrendously difficult feats of manual labor. Forget barbells; strongmen are flipping tires and pulling trucks, testing their mettle in a brassy, crowd-pleasing way.
