Internet Providers File Suit to Stop Spammers

The New York Times (free reg. required) reports that AOL, Earthlink, Microsoft and Yahoo have filed suit in their respective home states against different groups of suspected spammers under the new federal antispam act that took effect Jan. 1. The article holds out little hope for change, citing the many previous anti-spam suits filed by ISPs that have had little effect.
