Intel/Moore article causing thefts

    If Intel is willing to pay 10,000 there are other people that want to have the article that Intel is looking for. They may pay a thousand. They might only pay $100. But to a thief a $100 can be worth going after.

    I think there are lots more library thefts going on than people realize. If some book is very rare and is selling for $500 a library copy might be worth $50 to $100. I think that librarians need to create more methods to watch for stolen library items selling online. It is very hard to lock down your collection so maybe the emphasis should be put on trying to catch the bad guys.
