Ian Frazier Becomes First Two-Time Winner of Thurber Prize

Ian Frazier won the Thurber Prize for American Humor for the second time on October 5, for his 2008 book Lamentations of the Father: Essays. Frazier, who beat out finalists Sloane Crosley, Don Lee, and Laurie Notaro, was previously awarded the prize in 1997–the first year it was bestowed–for Coyote vs. Acme.

“Lamentations of the Father,” the titular essay, can be read online at The Atlantic.
