He had waited a long time for the Haslet Public Library to open so he could check out Christmas in Camelot, the 29th volume in a series of children’s books, his mother Sandra Varner said.
“It was the only Magic Tree House book that I had left to read,” Alex said joyfully as he scooped up the books and a paper library card with his handwritten name on it.
Alex was the first customer to check out materials from the Haslet Public Library, which debuted Saturday morning.
