Growing Up On-Line

PBS’s “Frontline” recently televised a program on how the internet is altering the typical course of childhood and adolescence; you can watch it online, participate in the discussion, read a teacher’s guide and link to other articles on the subject. The program is divided into six chapters.

Critic Charlie McCollum of The San Jose Mercury News says, “One show not to miss [tonight]: PBS’s “Frontline” presents a new documentary that takes a thoughtful and unhysterical look at kids and the online world. “Growing Up Online” raises provocative questions about whether the cruelties of adolescence have moved to a new, more intrusive dimension. But it handles the issue with restraint and intelligence.”
