Google is the librarian for the web?

A really good librarian will actually be able to find you the right information, not just the book in which it is captured. Google’s search engine has an entirely different model.”

    Google and Librarianship
    The problem is when the patron is unable to articulate what they are looking for and either the librarian does not have the time or the patron does not have the time or patience for an extensive reference interview. With enough staff and educated patrons a good reference interview is possible.
