Girl, sitter are library’s millionth visitors

Kind of a fun Little Story out of Michigan, where Six-year-old Bethany Guidebeck knew she and her baby sitter were the Wyoming library’s millionth visitors since the building reopened in January 2002 after a remodeling.

Bethany and King won a framed photograph of the library, among other things, for being the millionth patrons. A pair of large baskets also held a fleece blanket with the Kent District Library logo, inscribed coffee mugs, city of Wyoming hats and shirts, a gift certificate to Applebee’s, $50, a Wyoming history book, a calendar book, a cookbook, pencils, candy, and a stuffed toy elephant, which is the library mascot.
