In Arkansas, the Prairie Grove Library is trying to raise $75,000 to renovate a resale shop into a freestanding children’s library. They’ve had kids’ events with children’s book writers and illustrators, asked children to save their pennies, held a pancake breakfast and a garage sale, and they just started a read-a-thon.
