Fugitive Caught at Philadelphia Library Gets 75-year Term

If you’re on the lam from the law, you probably shouldn’t stop at your library to check your MySpace page, but that’s exactly what Darrin Bates did at the Main Branch of the Philadelphia Free Library. And he got caught.

He escaped from a jail in Georgia in June of 2006, but was recaptured after librarians at the Philadelphia Library tipped off police last December.
