Secrecy News (a publication of the Federation of American Scientists’ Project on Government Secrecy) notes that the law would include not just the imagery itself, but products derived from it. Further, the law would preempt any state laws regarding open distribution of imagery, like for example Florida’s famous “sunshine” law, should the state gain access to data in this category.
