The MIT Press Bookstore is located at 292 Main Street in Kendall Square, Cambridge, across from the Marriot Hotel and the MIT Coop, and next to the inbound side of the Red Line T (subway) stop. Look for us on the interactive MIT campus map! You might also check the official “Getting To MIT” website for more info. Just keep in mind that we’re on the other side of campus from the MIT dome.

Take the Red Line T to Kendall Square (only two stops inbound from Harvard Square or two stops outbound from Park Street). This is by far the most hassle free method to visit us as we are literally only steps away. You can check out a map of the Boston subway system online.

There are lots of bicycle racks in front and behind our building.
By bus
There are three MBTA bus lines that stop in front of our store. For a detailed schedule of the stops please see the MBTA’s Bus Schedule page

Local tips:
Locally, “Squares” are usually only intersections of streets, and are not necessarily plazas or anything obvious to the newcomer. “Mass Ave” is what locals call Massachusetts Avenue.
