Filtering vendors jump for joy over CIPA

Filtering developers and vendors are packing their bags for a meeting with ALA representatives in Washington, DC on August 14, in an attempt to get said companies hep to the needs of libraries. Regardless of how much of a pain CIPA is to public libraries, it looks like gravy time for vendors. More from the Seattle Post Intelligencer. One of the invitees, N2H2 has a soothing, trust-us slogan which should make everyone feel better: \”Empowering Organizations of all Sizes.\” Members of ALA Council, the governing body of ALA, are still waiting for more information, since they found out about the meeting through word-of-mouth, and appear to not have had a say.
