Film is bigger draw than library

The hype and hoopla that accompanied the opening of Disney’s $180 million movie, “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” helped make it the top-grossing film of the weekend. Alas, inside Room 225 of San Jose’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library, there were plenty of empty seats Sunday.

Only a dozen or so people gathered to learn more about the classic children’s tale published half a century ago by C.S. Lewis. More From Mercury News.
