E-LIS: Open access archive for articles on librarianship

Jay writes E-LIS
is an open access archive for scientific or technical documents, published or unpublished, on Librarianship, Information Science and Technology, and related areas. E-LIS was formed in 2003 for the deposit of documents in the Library and Information Science (LIS) domain. It is the first international e-server in this subject area and resulted from the RCLIS (Research in Computing, Library and Information Science) project and the DoIS (Documents in Information Science), promoted by the Spanish Ministry of Culture and hosted by AEPIC team on machines of the Italian Consorzio Interuniversitario Lombardo per Elaborazione Automatica (CILEA).

For example, Jay Bhatt’s recent articles and a powerpoint presentation on blogging can be accessed from

Jay’s articles on E-LIS.

Tips on how to register, search and deposit articles in E-LIS are available at: Help on using E-LIS. There are currently 2932 documents in the archive and I recommend that the information science and library related professionals must consider submitting their articles to E-LIS whenever possible.”
