Dateline Brunei: Unattended Children an International Phenomenon

From Brudirect; even in the wealthy sultanate of Brunei in Southeast Asia, parents are dropping their children off at the library and assuming that they will be looked after. Says librarian Pg Siti Jamaliah Pg Mohammad, who has worked at the library since 1984,
“There are only four librarians here and on a daily basis 50 children or more,” she said. “Some who come are unwell and some don’t know how to use the toilet. This is where some of us have to come in and help. This is not part of a librarian’s responsibility, but we are used to it after all these years,” she said.

    However….
    The chance of some pervert taking the kids and abusing them is probably much lower. They don’t put up with a lot of crap in Brunei, someplace I’ve always wanted to go.

    If he got his head cut off in a foreign nation I seriously doubt we’d ever hear the END of it. It would just play on the news for ever and ever. There’d be even more MJ impersonators…and then there’d be the conspiracy theorists saying that he wasn’t really killed and is off living with Elvis and Jim Morrison now. Actually, that’ll all happen regardless of how he kicks it…
